Team – Evergreen Senior Living

The Team at Evergreen Village Supportive Living

At Evergreen Village, our team doesn’t just come to work each day, we come to care. Each member of our staff adds unique expertise to our multifaceted, compassionate care to achieve a warm and inviting community for our seniors.

Christine Fuss, Community Relations Coordinator

I was originally born and raised in Peoria, IL. I‘ve resided in, beautiful, Normal, IL for over twenty years. I’m happily married with two adopted children from Russia and now have two lovely grandchildren!

My career has mostly been in restaurant & retail management, so I’m new at working with seniors, but after only four weeks, it feels like a great fit! Immediately, I could see the dedication, passion and care the staff members have for our residents. I am very thankful to be a member of the Evergreen Senior Living Team and a part of the Heritage Operations Group family who has created this culture over many years. My favorite part of coming in each day is talking with our resident’s, getting to know them more each day!

Faith, family, friends and traveling are my passions.

Rachel Santana, Community Relations Coordinator

Rachel was born and raised in Lincoln, IL, and moved to Bloomington in her early twenties. She is a dedicated mom to three wonderful girls. Rachel’s favorite activities include reading, being in nature, and going to the movies. With a professional background primarily focused on working with children, Rachel transitioned to Evergreen, where she discovered a new passion for helping families find forever homes for the seniors in their lives.

Darcie Culbertson, Community Relations Liaison

I was born in McLean County and raised in the Downs area. I have 2 Amazing Adult Children, a Beautiful Daughter-In-Law and my first grandchild due in March. Before coming to Evergreen Senior Living as the Community Relations Liaison, I worked with Heritage Operations as a Community Relations Coordinator for both Supportive Living and Skilled Nursing. My passion is helping others and making a positive impact through Volunteer Services. Serving the Senior Community is my passion and the relationships we build together.

Fred Ortery, Building Services Coordinator

I have been with Heritage for 5 ½ years. I am EPA certified for HVAC.

I was born in Illinois but grew up in Iowa, then moved to Dallas for 25 years. I have been back in Illinois for 10 years now. The best part of my job is working with the seniors. They have so many interesting stories and are a joy to work with.

Brenda Corcoran, RN, Wellness Coordinator

I have been a nurse for 33 years, and many of those years have been spent working for Heritage Enterprises. My nursing career has been focused on caring for seniors. The first 26 years were spent working in a skilled nursing facility in my hometown. I transferred to Evergreen Village in November 2007. I love anything vintage including people. My best day at work is when I am able to interact with our residents. I enjoy listening to their life stories, helping them with their troubles and making them laugh. I grew up on a farm near Colfax. I am proud to say the farm has been in our family well over 100 years. My husband and I live in Bloomington.

Debbie Hardesty, Culinary Services Coordinator

I am from Chenoa, IL. I have two children, David and Kayla. I have one grandson, Jaxon. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have been in long-term nursing care for 18 years. I enjoy cooking and bringing smiles to the resident’s faces. I earned my certification for dietary manager in 2018. I enjoy coming to work and seeing residents, family and co- workers. Evergreen is my home now.
