What is Supportive Living – Evergreen Senior Living

What is Supportive Living?

The financial aspect of senior living options can be overwhelming. Evergreen Senior Living believes it is important for families to avoid up-front costs, hidden fees, entrance fees, maintenance fees, or long-term investments.

At Evergreen Senior Living in Decatur, we offer supportive living. Supportive living communities offer the same access to care, compassion, services, and amenities as seniors in assisted living communities. Supportive living communities differ from assisted living in that they allow residents to pay using Medicaid, Veteran’s benefits, and other types of financial assistance. Our community allows seniors to enjoy a quality lifestyle at an affordable price.

A financial assistance program through Medicaid is available for those who qualify, making the Evergreen Senior Living lifestyle affordable to all. A deposit will hold your preferred apartment and apply to your first month’s rent. A month-to-month lease is signed upon move-in.

Use the following equation to estimate your payment amount:

$__________ Monthly Income

Subtract$__________ Personal Allowance

Subtract$__________ Allowable from Dept of Human Services (including medical insurance)

EQUALS$__________ Estimated Monthly Payment

Eligibility for this financial program at Evergreen Senior Living is determined by the Illinois Department of Healthcare & Family Services.

Supportive living provides whole-life awareness for seniors, which means we work to keep our seniors interested, engaged, comfortable, and as connected as they want to be while also attending to medical needs that may arise. Evergreen Senior Living’s lifestyle enrichment programs are designed to allow each senior to live life as they please by providing a variety of entertaining and thoughtful activities. Seniors can choose educational and cultural programs, partake in social activities, or take advantage of holistic programs. It’s their choice, and what lovely choices our seniors have!
