The Dan-Ryan Express band is a husband and wife duet from Central Illinois including guitarist Dan Whobrey and flutist Ruthann Whobrey. While dating, they discovered they enjoyed playing music together and would often play Beatles’ tunes and other popular songs to pass the time. Dan played in country bands for a while when their kids were younger, but as the family grew, the two focused on raising four children and working. Now, they are retired and ready to entertain again! They currently play at special events and assisted living facilities in the Champaign-Urbana area.
