Protecting Your Loved Ones: Infection Protocol

As a licensed assisted living community, we have been following the protocols from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and the Peoria County Department of Public Health since the beginning of March. There have been many changes to these protocols throughout the pandemic, and our corporate clinical team keeps us apprised of the many updates daily. Current protocols include a vital sign and symptom tracking twice daily for all residents and three times daily and isolation for any who are symptomatic. Quarantine is required for residents who had the potential for exposure, i.e., ER visit. Protocols also include ongoing staff education of personal protective equipment (PPE), infection prevention, disinfection procedures, and temperature and symptom assessment before the start of the day and during the shift for all employees.

While these protocols are outside of the regular routines of an assisted living community, at Evergreen Senior Living, we are invested in providing the safest environment for our residents and staff, now and after this pandemic has passed. Moving forward, our infection prevention protocols will be even more rigorous than they were previously. While our efforts will remain ongoing, they will also remain behind the scenes to our residents and their guests. We will continue to operate the friendly and comfortable, home-like environment that attracts our residents and families to Evergreen Senior Living.
