Life Enrichment Opportunities at Evergreen Senior Living

Evergreen Senior Living’s life enrichment offers social, educational, and cultural activity programming. Each activity is designed to specifically meet the interests, needs, and abilities of our residents.

Our residents take advantage of our senior transportation services by participating in community outings, shopping trips, and individual doctor visits.

During this extraordinary time, we’re working hard to keep our residents engaged through the following programs:

  • Sharing residents’ phone numbers with each other to remain socially connected
  • News and Views phone line for birthdays, weather, fun facts, and this day in history
  • GrandPads (iPads explicitly designed for seniors with games)
  • Senior TV for exercises and movies
  • Live entertainment outside
  • Occasional opportunities for safe escorts to the courtyard
  • And many more!

Coming in, we thought this would be a great place for my father to stay. The atmosphere is fantastic and there are a ton of social activities. He can go on outings, play games, go on field trips. It really keeps him active.

Convenient Medication Management with Green Tree Pharmacy

Medication management is key to resident well-being. Evergreen Senior Living residents may choose to maintain their own medication routine or to receive medication management assistance from our wellness team. Evergreen Senior Living works with its own pharmacy, Green Tree Pharmacy, which will organize medications in strip packs and provide free and convenient 24-hour delivery service.

We are the only senior living community in the area with a dedicated, senior-focused, non-retail pharmacy, making our pharmacists specialized leaders in the industry. 

Nurse Practitioner Services at Evergreen Senior Living

​Evergreen Senior Living has partnered with a clinical team of skilled nurse practitioners who work to maintain our community’s health and well-being. The nurse practitioners are qualified to diagnose medical problems, order diagnostics and treatments, perform advanced procedures, and prescribe medications. Appointments are easy to schedule, and the services are conveniently provided in our community.

Having a nurse practitioner regularly on our campus better serves our residents by cutting down on physician office and hospital visits and travel. It also increases communication between our residents and their physicians.

Maintaining Senior Privacy and Safety with Lifeline

 At Evergreen Senior Living, our residents feel safe and confident in their private apartments, which are equipped with secure door locks. Personal care services are provided in each resident’s apartment for convenience and privacy. Every resident at Evergreen Senior Living is connected to our internal emergency response notification system, Lifeline. Each member of our community has a personal alert button, which can be used to reach our wellness team 24 hours a day.

Our quick and timely response to emergencies and our attention to detail ensures our residents feel comfortable and safe.

Our professionally trained senior caregivers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Residents and their families have peace of mind knowing our team is always nearby to lend a helping hand. Each resident at Evergreen Senior Living has individual and unique care needs. Some require a small amount of assistance, while others need more. To help us better understand those needs, we gather information from the resident, their loved ones, and physicians and customize a plan of care that meets the needs and desires of each resident. We complete this plan before move-in and on an annual basis or as a resident’s needs require.

In all situations, every resident deserves respect, privacy, and freedom of choice. Evergreen Senior Living is a community where independence thrives, and compassionate care is always available.

When your loved one has Alzheimer’s or other cognitive impairments, the decision to move them from home to a community can be challenging. As professionals caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, we understand the challenges that come with a move. At The Legacy: Memory Support, our experienced staff will work closely with the resident and his or her family to ensure a successful transition. Providing a safe, engaging environment that is not overstimulating is the key to success for individuals struggling with dementia.

While there are common characteristics, dementia affects each person differently; thus, through information gathering with the resident and those close to them, we personalize a plan for transition that best compliments the strengths of the resident and supports their cognitive challenges. The staff at The Legacy: Memory Support will work very closely with the resident and their loved ones to create meaningful and engaging days for each resident. This planning includes: 

  • Playing to the resident’s habits and strengths
  • Identifying activities that provide the resident enjoyment and a sense of purpose 
  • Personalizing their apartment to make it feel like home
  • Helping loved ones through the initial stages of transition; leaving their loved one in the care of our dedicated, compassionate, and qualified staff

We know that a transition from home to a community setting can be as challenging for the loved ones and caregivers as it is for the resident. We recommend that you have someone to support you during the initial transition period, especially on moving day. Feelings of grief and guilt, loss, and relief are all normal as you transition your loved one to full-time, community care.
