Caring for a Senior with Alzheimer’s or Memory Impairment? There is help and hope!

The compassionate and knowledgeable team at Evergreen Senior Living understands the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s, progressive memory loss and dementia. We embrace these unique challenges with a philosophy called Life Unrehearsed.

Now, caregivers at home can take advantage of this successful method! At no charge, community members can download, Life Unrehearsed™: Learn How to Live with Peace and Joy. The publication can be downloaded here, compliments of The Legacy: Memory Care team at Evergreen Senior Living. Physical copies are also available at our Orland Park campus.

With support and compassion, caregiving can offer amazing new experiences and unforgettable, lovely interactions. It’s never too late to embrace the moment and foster peace and joy. We encourage the Orland Park community, seniors, caregivers, primary care physicians and all those who have been touched by those with memory care impairments to embrace this opportunity.

Grieving to Heal Your Heart with JoAnn Michalik

Grief comes in many shapes and sizes and for many different reasons. While we tend to associate grief with the loss of a loved one, many times, it can also appear during seasons of great transition and change. Even in the best of circumstances, a move to an assisted living campus can be bittersweet, and many seniors experience seasons of grief when transitioning from their home into this new environment.

At Evergreen Senior Living, we care about more than just the physical health of our seniors; we want them to be mentally and emotionally healthy as well. That’s why we are so grateful to have found Grief Coach, JoAnn Michalik. JoAnn will be conducting a 45-minute grief seminar that will focus on understanding how to effectively deal with the chapter in their life that has ended. This session is designed to give our guests the tools they need to move forward effectively, and most importantly – with joy.

We invite you to join us at 10:00 am on November 9th, 2016 to learn about “Grieving to Heal Your Heart through the Holidays” with Certified Grief Coach JoAnn Michalik. Reserve your seat by calling Evergreen Senior Living at (708) 478-6015 or email Leslie at lpiscia@heritageofcare.com
